Used to spend a bit of time in Stavanger for work. Nice place, there was a lovely Spanish restaurant next to a lake in the middle of town that we used to frequent.

There was also an amazing hotel close to the airport that was made out of the wood from wrecked ships.

Yes, I live here, but as I spend all my time on WHO, I have absolutely no idea what life is like here.

Tell me all about it. Is it worth me having a look about?

Just like Lily, I live in Norway and have done, since the 80s.
Don't believe a word that Lily says. He does get out; I've seen him in the pub. :-)

I have been further north than Svalbard believe it or not

Oslo about 15 times, trondheim, arendal and Bergen.

Love the place (though bloody expensive) and vigeland park (probably spelt incorrectly) in Oslo is one of the best places I've visited in the world.

Re: Norway
Worked/lived in Stavanger for 6 months back in 2004, absolutely loved it, but 6 months was enough for me, I was starting to get a bit bored as it's only a small town (although it is considered large in Norway)

Re: Norway
last time i was there i gave a street beggar a few coins- it was about -30..i said there are warmer cities to end up on the street in...he winked and said '''True, but not many that are as full of generous rich people..."

I really like norwegians and their women. Shame the recent wave off immigrants seem intent t chuck it back at them..

Yes, I bumped into a nice girl in lederhosen on the train, she said, hello I'm Inga from Norway and asked me to help her off with her backpack, which I duly obliged.

Been to Oslo. Thought it was a bit of a dump. Very expensive. The girls are hot and willing but I prefer Sthlm a million times over. And indeed Copenhagen.

Trival fact Prince Haakon the Pronce regent's been to my place. His son and mine were best buddies at 6 yo. His wife is a right sort with a bit of previous reputation.

Norway is one of those countries I have no ambition to see. The cold and 40 mph speed limits everywhere put me off...

Re: Norway
Tromso. Tremendous place to see the Northern Lights. Not as far north as Far Cough but still a long way. Most Scandinavians are alright in my experience and the Norwegians are no different.

Eye wateringly expensive though.
